Mabon ran around her room, trying to find her other sandal. Her dress for the Ball was getting wrinkled as she crawled on the floor, looking under the bed and the bookcases. A muffled “mew” told her were to find her shoe. “Mouse! You give me back my sandal! That’s not yours!”

Once the footwear was retrieved, and her dress smoothed out once again, Mabon was ready to attend the Winter’s Veil Ball. She was a bit nervous. Would there be trouble, like at the last Ball? Would someone pick a fight? Would her date like her new dress? These thoughts raced through her mind like a blizzard.
